Richard Ashley, 50, killed in pickup collision with tractor trailer on Missouri 96 in Lawrence County, Missouri

A man from eastern Missouri died in a three vehicle crash in Lawrence County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Richard Ashley, 50, of Hillsboro, died when his pickup crossed the center line and struck a tractor-trailer head on about nine miles northwest of Mt. Vernon on Missouri 96. Ashley was pronounced dead at the scene late Saturday night. Neither the truck driver nor the driver of a third vehicle involved were injured.
