2 injured, 1 seriously, in watercraft collision on Lake of the Ozarks

Two people were injured, one seriously, in a collision involving two watercrafts on Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday evening. Both Tamblyn and the driver of the Duo, 59-year-old Kenneth Karlix of Olathe, Kansas, were ejected. The Patrol states that Tamblyn was traveling into direct sunlight, which prevented him from seeing the other boat. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Patrol Division, 58-year-old Richard Tamblyn of Leawood, Kansas, was operating a 2003 SeaDoo when he crashed into a 1957 Duo boat at the Gravois Arm. Karlix was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
