State Patrol Identifies 1 Suspect Vehicle in Fatal Brooklyn Park Hit-and-Run
Roeske said they want to bring in the drivers of the vehicles for questioning to find out what happened.

“He loved his grandchildren,” said Abebe Bulto, Lamu's son. “He hugged them, he talked to them until he fell asleep, played with them -- he loved them.”

"According to witnesses, the light was green for traffic on 252 and the pedestrian was crossing against the red light," said Lt. Eric Roeske with the Minnesota State Patrol.
Meshu Lamu was walking to a bus stop on Highway 252 when he was struck by as many as two different vehicles and died of his injuries. Neither vehicle stopped to help him. Witnesses desrcibe the vehicles as being a dark sedan and a red SUV, with damage on their left sides. Police at this point are unsure if both vehicles struck Lamu but want to bring in both drivers for questioning to find out what happened. Lamu had a wife, 6 children, and four grandchildren.
