Drunken teen driver crashes west of Duluth, killing passenger, authorities say
Austin D. Hilden, 18, drove his vehicle off the road about 3:50 a.m. at the intersection of Canosia Road and W. Arrowhead Road in Solway Township, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
Teen Killed, 4 Others Injured in Solway Township Crash
A 19-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have identified the victim as Axton Whitfield. Four others were transported to local hospitals with injuries that appear to be not life threatening.
