According to witness accounts, the SUV driver lost control and the vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest near a fence line at the bottom of a snowy embankment.
At about 11:00am, a car containing four people was westbound on I-94 when the driver lost control, causing the car to roll. The vehicle rotated several times and eject one passenger, a 94-year-old man, before eventually coming to rest in a ditch. The elderly man who was ejected was declared dead at the scene of the crash, and the three other people in the vehicle were brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
