Semi hits Eaton Co. bus, child ejected.

Two people were injured in a wreck Thursday morning in Eaton County when a semi-truck hit a county public transit bus.

Two people were injured in a wreck Thursday morning in Eaton County when a semi-truck hit a county public transit bus. It happened just before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of E. Clinton Trail and Flanders Road in Eaton Township, east of Charlotte. An Eatran bus had just stopped at the intersection while headed south on Flanders Road, when it headed into the intersection and into the path of the semi-truck, which was headed east on E. Clinton Trail, according to the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office. There were two passengers, in addition to the driver, in the bus when the wreck occurred. One of the passengers – a child – was ejected upon impact. They were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver was also taken to the hospital with back injuries.
