Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash in St. Joseph Co.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Saint Joseph County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a motorcyclist was hospitalized in a crash. Deputies say the 33-year-old Marcellus man was driving along Coon Hollow Road near Vernon Road at a high rate of speed. They say he then lost control, flew off the road, hit a mailbox and overturned, throwing him from his bike. Right now they're determining whether alcohol was a factor in the crash. Investigators say he had a suspended license and had an open container of alcohol.
