A 70-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 days in jail for a fiery crash that killed a pregnant Detroit-area woman who was driving a Jeep Liberty that had been recalled because of the placement of the gas tank. 

A 70-year-old man is charged in connection with a fiery collision on the Lodge Freeway that killed a pregnant woman and her unborn child. The man is facing a moving violation causing death charge, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail. Kayla Lucille White died Nov. 11 when her vehicle was rear-ended. The Liberty collided with two other vehicles before overturning and catching fire. White was about to have a baby boy. The name of the at-fault driver has not been released.
