Macomb Twp. motorcyclist killed in Chesterfield accident

Chesterfield Township Police and accident specialists from the Michigan State Police are participating in the probe. A 46-year-old Macomb Township man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with an automobile, police said. Ronnie Karjo, 46, died Monday evening as a result of injuries he sustained along Gratiot Avenue south of 21 Mile Road in Chesterfield Township. The driver of the passenger car, a 21-year-old man from Chesterfield Township, was treated for minor injuries. Karjo is at least the fourth motorcyclist to die in crashes with other vehicles in the past two weeks in Macomb County.

Off-Duty Harper Woods Police Officer Killed In MotorcycleCrash

A 46-year-old Harper Woods police officer has been killed in a crash. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Chesterfield Township resident, was treated for minor injuries. Police in Chesterfield Township say the accident that happened just before 10 p.m. Karjo, 46, of Macomb Township, was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
