1 killed, 2 injured in multi-car crash in Raynham

At 5:23 a.m., a woman driving a Chevy Trailblazer traveling eastbound on Route 44 drifted out of her lane and struck a Volkswagen heading in the opposite direction, Raynham Police Lt. David LaPlante said.

The man driving the Volkswagen suffered serious trauma and was taken to Morton Hospital by Raynham Fire, but did not survive, Murphy said.

The Enterprise said Raynham Police said that Jacqueline Bowlby, 22, of Lakeville, was driving a Chevy Trailblazer traveling eastbound on Route 44 near Church Street at 5:23 a.m. when she veered into oncoming traffic and struck Sweelssen's Volkswagen head-on.
