State Police investigating Route 44 rollover crash in Plymouth

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Terry Nugent indicates that a 35-year-old man from Worcester was traveling on Route 44 West in a 2005 Toyota Highlander when his vehicle entered the median at a high rate of speed, struck a large sign post, and rolled over several times before coming to rest in the median. As the vehicle started to catch fire, several passers-by extricated the man from the vehicle and moved him away from the wreckage. The vehicle then became fully engulfed.
