Chelmsford Bank Robbery Suspect Crashes After High Speed Police Chase
A bank robbery suspect was arrested on Thursday following a police pursuit that ended in a Bedford crash.
Jason Jewett was spotted driving on Route 3 by an officer who recognized his vehicle. Jewett was allegedly invovled in a bank robbery the day before at a Citizen's Bank in Chelmsford. The officer followed him, but Jewett wouldn't stop. Police say the chase continued at high speed until Jewett crashed into a tree on Middlesex Turnpike, suffering serious injuries.
