She was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center to await a hearing. Both Fauerby and Rosenbusch were ejected from the bike and Rosenbusch was pronounced dead at the scene. Lyon was arrest and charged with multiple traffic and criminal violations, including driving under the influence, homicide by motor vehicle while under the influence. The sheriff’s office said Lyon was operating the Jeep under the influence of alcohol. CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. (WJZ) — Two people were killed after their tandem bike was struck by an SUV. Woman Charged In Drunk Driving Deaths Out OnBail

CALVERT COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — A woman charged with the drunk driving deaths of a Maryland couple is out on bail. Calvert County deputies say Catherine Lyon struck and killed John Fauerby and his wife, Lynn Rosenbusch, while they were riding a tandem bicycle in Chesapeake Beach Saturday. Bike ride to honor couple killed on tandem bike - WTOP

They were out for a ride on a tandem bike in Calvert County on Oct. 31 when a driver hit them from behind. A white tandem “ghost bike” will be installed at the crash site on Tobacco Road as a lasting reminder of couple. Cyclists representing bike clubs from throughout the region will honor John Fauerby and Lynne Rosenbusch with a memorial ride Sunday ending with a ceremony at the site where the couple was killed. WASHINGTON — A couple killed while out on a fall bike ride last month, will be remembered by friends, family and the biking community during an event Sunday. Sunday’s ride will likely be two rides of 12 and 20 miles that will converge at 11 a.m. to place the ghost bike at the site.
