Woman struck by minivan in road rage incident

A woman walking out of a Fells Point bar was struck by a minivan involved in an out-of-control road rage incident caught on video. Baltimore police said a minivan struck a vehicle at about 2:15 a.m. in the 700 block of South Broadway. Two men attempted to get inside the minivan before the driver struck the car again, jumped the curb and struck a woman who was walking out of a bar. Police are still searching for two men who attempted to assault Reed while he was in the minivan. Police believe the driver of the minivan, Orlando Reed, 37, of Parkville, was assaulted at a bar before he entered his vehicle.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The family of Jill Boram, the woman run over in Fells Point early Saturday morning, say she continues to slowly improve following surgery Monday. On Saturday, police say the driver Orlando Redd got into a minivan to leave Fells Point after a fight. The road to her recovery is long but attainable,” the family said. Redd then rammed his car into other vehicles and then drove up onto a sidewalk, hitting buildings and Jill. Redd is now being held on bond in the case and police believe alcohol may have a been a factor.

A GoFundMe page created by the owner of a boutique in the neighborhood identified the hit-and-run victim as Jill Boram, saying she needs many surgeries. The 17-minute YouTube video showed a man banging on the window of Redd’s vehicle before it crashed into a stopped car. Someone is very, very injured down there,” says the man recording the video. The series of violent events, caught on video by a bystander from a window above the chaotic scene, occurred early Saturday, Feb. 6, in the Fells Point area. The video of the hit-and-run incident has been viewed more than 472,000 times.
