Now Blanding’s family and police are asking potential witnesses from that night to speak up. “There was a large group of people up there watching the dirt bikes and we know that there was several dirt bikes, so we’re asking for the community’s help,” said Baltimore Police Spokesman Det. Jeremy Silbert.
Police are looking for a person that struck and killed a woman, identified as Allison Blanding, 24, while riding a dirt bike on Wabash Avenue at around 10 p.m., then fled the scene. Detectives from Baltimore's CRASH team are asking any witnesses to call 410-396-2606. The suspect reportedly popped a wheelie before coming down on Blanding's head, who was walking to her car in the parking lot of the West Cold Spring Metro Station.
