Five family members died early Saturday when a tractor trailer struck their vehicle and rolled over it in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. The victims are identified as Regina Ayres, 24, of Greenbush, Virginia; her 7-year-old daughter Jordan Ayres; her 2-month-old son Jonathan Ayres; her boyfriend Travis Straton, 25, of Onancock, Virginia; and Regina Ayres’ sister Zerissa Ayres, 30. The family was heading west around 1 a.m. on Route 50 toward the intersection with Rt. 213, when the tractor trailer was south on Rt. 213 at Rt. 50. Four of the victims were pronounced deceased at the crash site. Zerissa Ayres, who was pregnant, was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The truck driver was identified as Yvenet Mayette, 28, of Wilmington, Delaware. He is being treated for serious injuries at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Investigators are determining which vehicle had the right of way.
