One man dead after crash early Saturday morning on I-10 near Metairie Road

A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after a crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 10, police said. According to the New Orleans Police Department, the crash happened just before 2 a.m. on I-10 near the Metairie Road exit. The crash ejected the 23-year-old passenger in the Sentra. New Orleans police said a woman was driving a 2014 Nissan Sentra with a 23-year-old man headed westbound on I-10 when they were struck by a Cadillac Escalade. A 29-year-old man was driving the Escalade with a 28-year-old passenger.
