Christopher P. Pecora, 23, killed, Ty Gilleon, 20 injured, taken to hospital, after their pickup leaves the Solitude Road in St. Francisville, and crashes into a tree.

A St. Francisville man died Saturday night after he drove his 2007 Toyota pickup off Solitude Road in St. Francisville and struck a tree, the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office reported. The accident occurred at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday. Christopher P. Pecora, 23, 5720 Mahoney Road, St. Francisville, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, Ty Gilleon, 20, of Ethel, sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from West Feliciana Parish Hospital, deputies reported. Neither was wearing his seat belt. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the crash and blood results are pending, deputies reported.
