Casey Collette was riding an ATV after school on a dirt road when a steel cable that was strung across the road cut him across the stomach. He was airlifted to a UK hospital, then transported to a hospital in Atlanta. The cable broke his back and severely injured on of his intestines. He also suffered brain damage after his heart stopeed buring a seizure. His family has stayed with him during his as of now 17 surgeries, and Collete has finally rcovered enough to return home.
