One dead, two hurt in crash on N. West Street

Officers say the crash involved a VW Bug, a Honda and a BMW.  Police also say a bicyclist was in the middle of the street at the time of the crash.  The 50-year-old man on the bicycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say while the crash was unfolding, the bicyclist was apparently trying to cross West St. and was caught in the middle of the collision between the three vehicles.

Randall Reyes, 53, was riding east on his bicycle on St. Louis Street when he began legally crossing West Street shortly before 4:45 p.m. Saturday, police say. Reyes was struck by a southbound BMW driven by a 16-year-old boy.
