Driver pinned in car life-flighted after single vehicle accident

A 34-year-old Council Grove man was life-flighted to a hospital outside of Riley County after a serious single car crash. Riley County officers responded around 3:20 Tuesday morning to the 1900 block of Pillsbury Dr. According to an RCPD report, Nicolas Cuevas-Castanan was driving a 2005 Hyundai Sonata northbound when the car ran off the road and rolled multiple times before finally coming to a stop. His passenger, 20-year-old Jose Vazquez of Council Grove was taken to Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan where he was treated.
