Two people killed in KCK accident

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Two people were killed early Friday morning in a car accident in Kansas City, Kan. Police say the accident happened at 55th and Freeman around 12:50 a.m. Police say the driver was speeding as they were heading south on 55th Street when they lost control and crashed. A one block area was blocked off to traffic as officers worked the accident. The man and woman inside of the vehicle both died at the scene.

Leavenworth residents identified as crash victims

Police on Monday said the victims were 65-year-old Howard C. Levite and 47-year-old Erica L. Cortez, of Leavenworth.
