The teenagers had just left track practice at Tri-Center High School when the single-vehicle crash happened, said Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker.
The truck rolled off the highway, Danker said.

Investigators said Gage and another teen decided to ride in the bed of the pick-up truck. When the truck rolled, he flew out of the truck.
"I don't know the details, and no one will ever know why or how," she said.
