Ind. man suffers serious injuries after Jackson Co. ATV accident

JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) ' A Medora, Indiana man is recovering after his ATV struck and killed a dog Friday night. According to the preliminary investigation, Bowers hit and killed the dog before flipping his vehicle multiple times. Indiana Conservation Officials say 27-year-old Zachary Bowers was found face-down after being found by a motorist on County Road 825 West near Curry Road around 11:30 p.m. Authorities say alcohol may have been a contributing factor to the accident and toxicology results are pending. Bowers was transported to an Indianapolis hospital with multiple injuries.
