He was transported to a hospital in Nobel County. Schweiger was not injured. Both Williams and Schweiger were wearing their seatbelts.
An off-duty Indiana State Trooper was injured after a crash in Noble County Saturday morning. Trooper Richard K. Williams, 26, of Albion was headed north in his marked police car on County Road 500 East, south of County Road 500 North at 10:45 a.m. Khala Ann Schweiger, 26, of Albion was driving a 2002 Dodge truck and stopped at a stop sign at the County Road 500 intersection. Schweiger allegedly drove into the intersection and struck the front driver side of Williams’ vehicle. Williams suffered injuries to his head, knee and ankle.
