On the Monday incident, the Mount Vernon Police Chief Trent Page said the pedestrian was taken to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead. Jefferson County Coroner Roger Hayse said the pedestrian which died in Monday's incident was identified as Robert Bryan, 65 of Carrier Mills.
