Man hospitalized after being hit by car in Mount Prospect

The man was crossing Golf Road at Can-Dota Avenue about 5 p.m. when a vehicle traveling east hit him, officials said. So far, no citations have been issued; police say the crash is still under investigation. He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for his injuries.
