The Sheriff's Office and railroad officials are investigating who piled rocks on a track in the path of an Amtrak passenger train in western Idaho.
An Empire Builder train was passing through Rathdrum when it struck a four foot pile of rocks that had been piled there by tresspassers. The incident caused passengers to be delayed to 25 minutes. No one was hurt, but the train suffered about $5,000 in cosmetic damage. Beer cans were reportedly also found in the area by a police detective. Police are in teh process of trying to find those responsible for the incident.
