Three taken to hospital after car catches on fire after crash

North Star Road was closed for several hours Wednesday night after a two-car crash sent three people to the hospital. One car caught fire after the impact, but police say none of the injuries were major.
Four people, including one teenaged girl and a baby, were taken to the hospital Wednesday night following a car crash in Nampa, Idaho. The incident occured on Star Road around 9:30 p.m. when the teenage girl, driving her Saturn at high rate of speed, rear-ended a Ford Focus heading the same direction. The vehicles went off opposite sides of the road when the Saturn burst into flame. The girl was able to get out of her vehicle without serious injuries. The occupants of the Ford Focus, two adults and one baby, also escaped serious injury. All people were transported to the hospital as a precaution. This crash remains under investigation.
