A 26-year-old St. Petersburg woman is facing a child abuse charge for allegedly crashing her car while drunk with an 11-month-old baby in the vehicle, Pinellas Park police said Friday.

A woman was jailed on child abuse and other charges after police report she got into a crash while driving drunk with an 11-month-old baby in the car. At approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, Pinellas Park police say, a car driven by Brethen slammed into the back of another car on 62nd Avenue N. The child was not hurt and was released to family members.
