Hillsborough school bus crash sends 21 to hospital

The crash, which was described as minor, happened at Big Bend Road and Summerfield Boulevard. Initial reports are a school bus could not stop in time and read-ended the other school bus. Both buses were on their way to Eisenhower Middle School.

School bus driver faulted in crash that injures 17 students in Riverview

The driver of the second bus, German Acosta, 68 of Gibsonton, will be cited for following too closely, the Sheriff's Office said.
Of the 50 students on the bus, only 19 were injured. 15 were taken to hospitals via ambulance and 4 were taken by their parents. Fortunately, both the crash and injuries have been reported to be very minor. The driver of the rear bus, German Acosta, has been cited for following too closely.
