1 Killed, 2 Hospitalized in Early Morning Accident on I-10

A witness, Rachel Butterfield, says, "It slid right in front of the car and of course the pickup truck hit it, immediately it kind of slid it off into the ditch."
An morning collision on I-10 killed a female passenger and sent a man to the hospital in critical condition after a semi-truck collided with the pick-up truck the couple was in. The semi-truck was heading east on Interstate 10 when for unknown reasons it crossed the median and crashed into a Dodge Ram around 1:00 Monday morning near mile marker 212 in Leon County. Pickup passenger Kimberly Palmer, 47, did not survive. The pickup driver is identified as Duane Palmer, 47, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the semi-truck, Robert Charlton, 61, of Crestview, Florida, was not seriously injured. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
