Crash results in one death

According to the report, Anderson was originally northbound on SR 79 behind the wheel of a 1997 Toyota Camry but made a left turn onto Ira Road and immediately performed a U-turn back onto SR 79. In that action, she traveled into the path of a Toyota Scion that was southbound on SR 79, FHP reported. After the Camry and Scion collided, both vehicles traveled across the northbound lanes of traffic and off the roadway. The Camry came to rest submerged in a retention pond on the east side of the road. Anderson was pulled from the vehicle, but died at the scene. The Scion came to rest on the east shoulder of SR 79 facing south. The driver of that vehicle, Jacksonville resident Bruce Fountain Jr., 25, and his passenger, 54-year-old Bruce Fountain, escaped injury.
