Law & Order: 7-year-old girl struck, killed on way to bus

A 7-year-old girl was hit and killed Wednesday morning on the way to her bus stop in Palm Coast, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Navigator's driver, 36-year-old Melissa Beane-Meeth of Palm Coast, stopped after the accident, which is still under investigation.

The crash happened while the student was waiting at the bus stop in the area of Winter Haven Court and Whippoorwill Drive before heading to Wadsworth Elementary School. The student was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol had the crash listed as a "possible fatality" on its website.

Boy, 7, struck by car, injured in Flagler County

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which occurred around 8:20 a.m. at Whipporwill Drive and Winter Haven Court in Palm Coast. The boy's condition is not known.
