2 men struck by car while fixing mower on Palm Coast road

Two lawn maintenance employees were seriously injured Monday morning when a car hit them as they were working on a lawn mower on Brookhaven Drive in Palm Coast, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Juan Escobedo-Gonzalez and Jose Antonio Lira, two lawn maintenance employees, were working on a lawn mower at Brookhaven Drive in Palm Coast when they were struck by a car. The Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 23-year-old Brian Williston Earle, shoved the mower into the two men, seriously injuring Escobedo-Gonzalez and critically injuring Lira.
