Flagler County School District spokesman Jason Wheeler said Almodovar was a well-known bus driver who has worked for the district since July 2013. The 68-year-old Ormond Beach resident drove three routes, ferrying students at Flagler Palm Coast High, Buddy Taylor Middle and Old Kings Elementary schools.
