Awilda Figeuroa Olmo, 49, killed, Rachelle Case, 25, Alan Oviedo, 49, Danny Spaldin, 31, injured in wrong-way car crash on State Road 417 in Seminole County, Florida

An Orlando woman was driving the wrong way down State Road 417 when she struck another car, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers do not know why Awilda Figeuroa Olmo, 49, was driving a 2005 Chrysler north in the southbound lanes of S.R. 417 in Seminole County early Saturday, Sgt. Figeuroa Olmo had gotten out of her car when a third driver, a 49-year-old Longwood man, struck her Chrysler, propelling it onto her, Montes said. 

A driver going the wrong way on the Seminole Expressway was blamed for a three-vehicle crash that closed the toll road for hours on Saturday. The FHP saif the investigation is ongoing, and at this time, it's not known why Olmo was driving in the wrong direction on the toll road. Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol said Alwida Figueroa Olmo, 49, of Orlando, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of State Road 417 near Rinehart Road about 2:45 a.m. Olmo's vehicle crashed head-on with a sport utility vehicle being driven by Rachelle Case, 25, of Geneva. Officials said the impact of the crash sent Olmo's vehicle into her.
