FHP: 46-year-old Tamarac man died after tire separated, van rolled over

A 46-year-old Tamarac man died this morning after a tire on the van he was driving separated, causing him to lose control and the vehicle to roll over, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Hubert Anderson, 46, of Tamarac, was killed in the rollover crash about 7:15 a.m.

The fatal collision occurred near 7:15 a.m. on Florida's Turnpike just past State Road 60 in Osceola County. Hubert Anderson was traveling north in a Chevrolet van when the tire tread separated, causing the van to exit the road and overturn onto the shoulder. Anderson was ejected from the vehicle and died at the crash site. A passenger, 67-year-old Leslie Anderson was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries. According to authorities, Hubert Anderson was not wearing a seat belt.
