21-year-old Baker County woman struck by truck walking on I-10

A 21-year-old Sanderson woman walking on Interstate 10 Saturday night when she was hit and killed by a truck in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. It was unclear why Brianna Megan Lauramore was apparently walking in the westbound travel lanes of I-10 near mile-marker 344 near Baldwin about 11:15 p.m. A semi-truck towing a horse trailer and driven by Dwain Jerry Simpson, 54, of Kentucky struck her, the Highway Patrol said. Further information was unavailable. It also was unknown if the woman was related to the Baker County Lauramore family of Lonna Lauramore Barton, the 25-year-old mother of missing toddler Lonzie Barton.
