"We saw there was no extrication necessary, and we got her out as quickly as possible," Alachua Fire Rescue District Chief Andrew Carlisle said. "We got her out pretty much as quick as we got there."

Her car went onto the north shoulder, then in a northwest direction before striking a tree with the front end.
Alisha Grubel was driving west on Archer Road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. She was a recent graduate of Newberry High School and was enrolled at Santa Fe College.
