Report of fatal Alligator Alley crash released
Troopers say a 49-year-old Naples man was killed at mile marker 66 in Collier County on Sunday at 8 a.m.
FHP says the man was passing another driver when he merged over too early and sideswiped the other vehicle. Both vehicle then crashed, drove off the road, and hit a guardrail.
The other vehicle rebounded onto the road, traveled across the westbound lanes, and stopped.
No one was taken to the hospital.

The driver and passenger inside the Caravan were not injured. They are Charles L. Grabiak, 69, of Fort Myers, and Luanne Brinn, 63, also of Fort Myers.
