Police said Burl has relatives in city and in Bridgeport and is believed to frequent the area. She is 5-foot-5 or 5-foot-6 and between 125 to 140 pounds. Police are offering a $500 reward. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is being asked to call the department at 203-977-4712.

Stamford suspect in fatal hit and run pleads not guilty

She pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and second-degree assault.
Police were searching Saturday for the driver of a car that ran a red light and slammed into another vehicle on West Main Street Friday evening, killing two people and seriously injuring another. The driver fled the scene on foot. Greenwich resident Judith Andriulli, 70, died Saturday morning from injuries she suffered when the BMW station wagon she was a passenger in was struck by a Nissan Altima that had been driving south on Alvord Lane when it ran a red light at the intersection of West Main Street. A passenger in the Nissan, Henry Nixon, 50, was ejected from the vehicle and died shortly after arriving at Stamford Hospital. Andriulli's husband, Anthony, 73, was driving the BMW and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the Nissan fled the scene on foot in the direction of the Greenwich border. She is described as a black woman, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and possibly a green jacket. The BMW was badly damaged and both Judith and Anthony Andriulli had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel.
