“Investigators are working to locate the car and the driver who fled the scene,” Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett Jr. said in a statement. “We are following solids leads and ask anyone who recognizes this car to contact police.”
Bridgeport Man Struck By Car In Critical Condition
A 72-year-old man who was hit by a car on Monday night on Stratford Avenue was still in critical condition on Tuesday and police are searching for the driver, who fled after the crash.
Cyrel Lennon was attempting to cross Stratford Avenue at about 8:22 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Lennon sustained serious injuries and is listed in critical condition at an area hospital. Authorities are searching for a red late-1990s Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix with tinted windows, a spoiler on the trunk and damage to the right side of to the hood.
