1 Person Killed in Fiery Crash
Matthew M. Sette, 32, of North Haven, lost control of his 1996 Toyota Camry in the left lane on the northbound side of the highway, hit the side a 2005 Mazda Tribute in the lane next to him and veered into the woods. Sette's car flipped onto its roof and caught fire. EMS personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police identify driver killed in Route 15 crash
The driver, who was identified as Richard Kaczynski, was found inside the car and pronounced dead on the scene, police said. Police determined that Kaczynski was traveling of the left lane of the highway when his vehicle crossed into the right lane, side-swiping another vehicle.
A Branford man was killed in a fiery crash off the Wilbur Cross Parkway/Route 15 in Hamden on Tuesday night. Richard Kaczynski, of Branford, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders searched the woods for passengers who they feared might have been thrown from the car, but found that no one else was ejected.
In a conflicting news report, it is being reported that Matthew M. Sette, 32, was killed in this crash. Please check back as more information is released.
