3 Hospitalized After Vehicle Crashes Into Kmart InArvada

Three people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a Kmart in Arvada Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred just after 2 p.m. at the Kmart located on West 58th Avenue near Independence Street. Three people were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. The vehicle crashed into the west side of the building and went through the wall. It’s not clear if those injured were in the store or occupants of the vehicle or both.

Police Say Driver Who Crashed Into Kmart, Injuring 2 Employees, WasDrunk

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Arvada say the driver of a minivan that crashed into a Kmart causing injuries to two employees was driving under the influence. One was seriously injured. “Officers arrived on scene to find that the vehicle had crashed through the cinder block wall and came to a stop approximately 70-75 feet inside of Kmart,” McGranahan said in a statement. The names of the two employee who were injured haven’t been released. Walton was also injured and taken to the hospital. Firefighters patched up the damage to the store.
