Colorado Springs woman ID'd as victim in fatal Otero County tubing crash

Authorities in Otero County have identified a 33-year-old Colorado Springs woman who died in a tubing crash Saturday on a reservoir. Shannon Pierce drowned in Holbrook Reservoir after she had been riding on a tube pulled by a jet ski, the county sheriff's office said Sunday in a news release. "Pierce had been wearing a life jacket, but was pulled from the water unresponsive," the release said. "A citation for a safety violation was issued to the jet ski operator."
