1 Dead, Another Seriously Hurt After Car Strikes Tree NearSonoma

The crash was first reported Friday at 11:55 p.m. in the area of 18660 7th Street East near Rover Road, just outside Sonoma city limits.  According to the CHP, one man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other remained in serious condition Saturday morning. One man was killed, another injured in a solo vehicle crash just outside Sonoma late Friday night. Two men returning from a wedding party crashed their car into a tree near Sonoma late Friday night.

Mountain View woman killed in Sonoma County crash

The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a driver who died in a solo vehicle crash northeast of Sonoma on Friday night as Yan Wang, 28, of Mountain View. Wang was driving a 2010 Porsche Cayman south in the 18000 block of Seventh Street north of Castle Road in unincorporated Sonoma County shortly before 11:55 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The Porsche drifted onto the west shoulder of the road and struck a tree, went airborne, rolled and struck a fence and another tree, CHP officials said. The Porsche landed on its roof, trapping Wang and a 28-year-old New York man inside.
