A car "sideswiped" the child, according to Battalion Chief Brian Helmick of the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. OAKLEY -- A helicopter airlifted a 3-year-old to a hospital Saturday night after the child was struck by a car in a hit-and-run in a residential neighborhood, authorities said.
