The crash occurred at 6:51 p.m. at an apartment complex at 975 Murrieta Blvd., according to a statement from Livermore police.

The posted speed limit outside the apartment building on Murrieta Boulevard is 35 miles per hour. But as police say the vehicle's on-board computer showed the car was going 99 miles an hour at the time of the crash. Just up the street, there were no visible skidmarks.

Brian Zachary Jones has been charged with two counts of homicide, which could lead to life sentences. 
A 35-year-old man from Livermore is in custody after killing a mother and her baby daughter and injuring two other children while driving drunk. The crash occurred 7 p.m. Saturday when the driver was speeding on Murietta Boulevard, missed a turn, and crashed into the backyard of an apartment complex. A 40-year-old woman and her 14-month-old daughter died. Two boys, ages 6 years old and 7 years old, were injured.The driver, Brian Jones, has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
