CHP: Alcohol factor in Hwy. 50 crash into Naturwood store

A large watermill outside the Naturwood store is visible from the highway near the Hazel Avenue exit. The crash caused minor damage to the building.

A 54-year-old man was found to be under the influence of alcohol when he was driving a pickup truck on Highway 50, veered off the roadway and struck a fence and the Naturwood Furniture store. The man, along with two passengers in the truck sustained minor injuries. The driver was booked into jail after receiving medical treatment.
